Planning a Valentine wedding? Tips to buying the ideal wedding ring for men!

Let's face it - guys are notorious for putting things off until the last minute, especially when it comes to wedding planning. This often means we make snap decisions, even on something as important as a wedding ring. But if you are planning a Valentine wedding, now is the time to be shopping for the ideal men's wedding ring.

I think I can speak for most men when I say that making decisions like this isn't easy for us. We tend to believe women do a much better job with this stuff. But your wedding ring shouldn't be chosen for you by your fiance. Picking out rings is probably the most romantic part about planning a wedding, and it is something that your fiance will want you to share with her. Remember to look for a ring that perfectly expresses your personal style - one that you will still appreciate for years to come.

If you need some advice in choosing the ideal wedding ring for men, here are some helpful tips:

  • Today, men's wedding rings come in several new designs and styles. If you've already started browsing, you know what I mean. Smooth, ridged, beveled, grooved, domed, two-toned, brushed or polished - you will want to make a decision on style right away.

  • Now that you have an idea of the design of your ring, it's time to choose a metal. This may be a lot more difficult than you think. Beyond the typical choices of gold, platinum or silver, today's wedding rings are also available in titanium, palladium, tungsten and stainless steel, all of which are quite a bit stronger than gold.

  • Men who work outdoors or play a lot of sports might want a lightweight, yet strong metal like titanium; or if you like the look of platinum but not the price, palladium might be the metal for you. If you need a durable yet inexpensive ring, stainless steel might be the way to go.

  • When choosing a harder metal like tungsten, stainless steel or titanium, be sure to order it in the correct size. Since these metals are not as soft as gold, they are nearly impossible to resize.

Ultimately, the wedding band you choose will be one of the most enduring elements of your wedding day and a lasting symbol of your love and commitment. The time you spend looking for the perfect men's wedding ring will be well spent, especially when you and your spouse look back on your big day, knowing it was the most romantic Valentine's wedding ever.

Thanks for an informative article. I got to learn a great deal about men\’s rings. I had no idea that there were more metal choices than platinum and gold. The designs of rings present an insight to the ring varieties. Can you please also give an idea about the price categories in which various rings of different metals fall? Buying a wedding ring is quite a difficult job, and the cost estimates will help many of us. I like the idea of palladium rings that look like platinum. Many thanks again for an insightful article.
